Geary McLeod is a director and cinematographer with over twenty years of experience in episodic television, pilots, movies of the week and feature films. He directed five episodes of the highly regarded CBS series The Mentalist, including part one of the two-part series finale. He also served as Director of Photography for the first six seasons. 

Upon completion of The Mentalist Geary chose to dedicate himself exclusively to directing a wide stylistic variety of episodic shows including: multiple episodes of Empire (Fox), Grey’s Anatomy (ABC,) NCIS: New Orleans (CBS), Council of Dads (NBC), Greenleaf (OWN), Famous in Love (Freeform), and Valor (CW).  A complete list of credits as well as a complete version of each episode is available from Jack Leighton at APA.

Geary is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the American Society of Cinematographers and the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (Local 600). He also sits on the Directors Guild African American Steering Committee.

Born in Boston, Geary currently lives in Los Angeles.
